Privacy policy

What personal data Bionamic collects through this website and its free tools, why, for how long, and what you can ask of us.

Last updated 10 October 2026.

Who is responsible

Bionamic AB (company no. 559214-9362), Stortorget 1, 222 23 Lund, Sweden, is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, write to info@bionamic.io.

When you visit the website

Our web servers record each request: your IP address, the page asked for, the time, and what your browser says about itself. We use this only to run the site, keep it secure and find faults, which is our legitimate interest (GDPR article 6(1)(f)). These logs are kept for a short time and then deleted.

The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or social media trackers. Its fonts and images are served from our own servers, so visiting a page does not send your IP address to anyone else.

When you write to us

The contact form sends us your message and, if you give them, your name and email address. Your message reaches our inbox by email through our email provider (see below). We use it only to answer you and to follow up on what you asked, which is our legitimate interest, or a step towards an agreement you asked about (article 6(1)(b)). We keep the conversation for as long as it is needed for that, and then delete it. Nothing you send through the form is used for marketing.

When you use a free tool

Our free tools, such as the antibody chain profiler and the developability profile, ask for your sequences and your email address. We need the address to send you the link that starts your analysis; without it we cannot provide the tool.

The legal basis is that you asked us for the analysis (article 6(1)(b)), and, for the limits and for seeing who uses the tools, our legitimate interest in keeping them available to everyone and in knowing how they are used.

News about Bionamic

We write to you about Bionamic only if you have asked us to, by ticking the box on a tool's form (article 6(1)(a)). Then we keep your address and when you used which tool until you withdraw your consent. You can do that at any time with the link in every email, or by writing to us. We then delete your address and keep only a note that you asked, so that we do not write to you again.

If you use the Bionamic application

To sign in to the application you need an email address, to which we send sign-in links. The data your organisation stores in the application is processed on its behalf, under the agreement between your organisation and Bionamic; your organisation decides how it is used, and questions about it are best raised with them first.

Who else handles your data

We do not sell personal data or share it with anyone for their own purposes. Your data is processed on servers operated by Bionamic in the EU. The one company that handles personal data for us is our email provider, MailPace (OhMySMTP Ltd, United Kingdom), which delivers the emails described above and keeps a copy of each for up to 30 days. MailPace hosts its service in the EU; any access to it from the United Kingdom is covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision for the United Kingdom. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Storage in your browser

A free tool's result page shows your result as a Bionamic workbook. If you change how it is displayed, such as the view of a structure, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage, so that the page looks the way you left it. Nothing there identifies you or is sent to us, and you can clear it in your browser's settings.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Write to info@bionamic.io; we answer within one month. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (imy.se), or to the data protection authority where you live or work.

Security

All traffic to the website and the application is encrypted. Access to personal data is limited to the Bionamic staff who need it, and we keep no more of it, and for no longer, than this policy says.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle personal data we update this page and the date at the top. If a change needs your consent, we ask for it first.
